Lliga del porc i la forquilla

La Garriga will be one of the venues for the first edition of this competition to highlight the fork breakfast.

Between the months of August and September, the first edition of the Pork and Fork League will take place, a fork breakfast championship that aims to promote this meal as a gastronomic heritage.

La Garriga, with its sausage with red beans and bacon as its star dish and the participation of two restaurateurs, will be one of the venues for the competition, promoted by the Lleida Pork Sanitation Group and within the Catalonia World Region of Gastronomy program, of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The competition will have four semi-finals, one in each region, and a Catalan final, which will be held in Lleida on September 28.

In each round, participating restaurants will present their dishes to a jury, while the public shares a popular fork breakfast. In La Garriga, it will take place at Can Luna on September 7th, at 10 am.
