We continue with the cycle of activities that takes us to know La Garriga from the perspective of different experts, from different fields. The third of the proposals comes from Violant Bonet (VIOGUIA), an expert in the conservation and restoration of movable property and also a professional guide in the middle mountains. Regarding her multifaceted training, our guest will discover some of the secrets of medieval art, such as the obtaining and preparation of pigments or the methodology of some pictorial techniques. In addition, we will not miss the opportunity to discuss with her some of the extraordinary pieces that La Doma preserves, such as the altarpiece of Saint Stephen.
The activity will combine the theoretical part with a more practical one. The latter will include a walk to detect natural elements, such as pigments or rocks, that were used in La Doma. There will also be a demonstration and reproduction of fresco painting, in which attendees will be able to collaborate
