Line 416, which connected La Garriga, Granollers and Montornès del Vallès, is being transformed into two more efficient services adapted to the real demand of the territory.
Sagalés presents a strategic restructuring of the La Garriga – Granollers – Montornès del Vallès corridor. The changes will come into force on October 7, with the aim of improving intermodality and facilitating daily travel.
This transformation responds to the strong growth in demand, which has exceeded 945,000 annual users. In addition, it also represents a reinforcement in public transport in the face of the closure of the R3 Rodalies line.
From this date, line 416 is divided into two different services:
- Line 429: La Garriga – Granollers, with 33 trips per direction on weekdays, direct connection with the General Hospital, the bus station and the Granollers Centre Rodalies station.
- Line 428: Granollers – Montornès, with 35 trips per direction, which maintains the current route to the General Hospital of Granollers, maintaining the connection with the Granollers Centre Rodalies station and the bus station.
In parallel, also from October 7, a newly created service is launched:
- Line 427: Vallromanes – Vilanova del Vallès – Montornès – Montmeló, with 32 trips per direction, which reinforces the section of maximum occupancy between Montornès and Montmeló and forms the backbone of the connection between neighboring municipalities.
This restructuring not only responds to technical criteria, but also to the requests of the municipalities involved.
