The Directorate General of Civil Protection has launched, as it does every year, a campaign to prevent and raise awareness of summer risks.

Every year, Civil Protection produces a series of tips to prevent and avoid risks related to the summer season.

Regarding the risk of forest fires, a new leaflet has been published entitled “Protect yourself from forest fires in housing estates and detached houses” which Rural Agents are distributing to housing estates throughout Catalonia. Remember that on the forest fire website you can consult the daily fire danger maps and the Alfa plan, as well as tips and recommendations.

You also have information regarding the risks of intense heat, as well as tips (avoid going out during the hottest hours, avoid intense physical activities, close blinds and windows where the sun shines, etc.), at this link.

On the other hand, on the Civil Protection website, you will find advice, recommendations and information about heavy rain and storms, fire parties, ozone pollution, safe swimming, large crowds, civil protection for young people, the elderly and children, among others.
