The event, held at the Belloch – Châteauform Campus, consolidates the collaboration between agents in the sector and reinforces the territory’s commitment to sustainable and quality tourism.

The Tourism service of the Regional Council organized the networking event “Tourism that connects people” yesterday at the Belloch-Châteauform Campus. The meeting brought together sixty companies and entities linked to the tourism sector in the Vallès Oriental.

The Regional Council’s Tourism Minister, Àlex Valiente, highlighted the strategic lines of the service: sustainability, quality and working to forge alliances between the public and private sectors. At the end, the president of the Regional Council, Emilio Cordero, highlighted the type of tourism planned for the Vallès Oriental: “We are committed to a tourism model with axes such as sustainability with the Biosphere seal, tourist information points and “El Vallès at your own pace” that promotes leisurely, peaceful, well-being and comfortable activities”. Slow tourism to enjoy the landscape, resources and attractions of the region.

The company Biterna introduced the dynamics and gave way to a participatory presentation session, led by Humanside. This was followed by a networking of quick meetings, in which attendees were able to exchange ideas, present the services they offer and establish new professional contacts to promote future collaborations.

Around sixty attendees participated, including catering companies, accommodation, tourist offices, libraries, associations, shops and town halls, among others. During the sessions, companies introduced themselves to each other and to libraries and tourist offices. The participating town councils worked in their own round table to analyze needs and proposals for strategic improvement in the tourism sector.

The day was concluded with a guided tour of the Belloch Campus facilities, which allowed participants to get to know this unique space firsthand.

The event was considered an opportunity to create links and synergies, promote collaboration, promote the circular economy and reinforce the commitment to the quality and sustainability of tourism in the Vallès Oriental.
