Get closer to the Garriga Visitor Center

 

By train

  • The Garriga train station is integrated into the R3 line of the Barcelona suburban train network.
  • The departure stops from Barcelona are: Hospitalet de Llobregat, Barcelona Sants, Plaça Catalunya, Arc de Triomf, La Sagrera, Sant Andreu Arenal and Torre del Baró.
    From La Garriga station, to get to the Visitor Center, it takes 10 minutes, just take Carrer del Figueral and follow it to the end, on Carretera Nova, the Visitor Center will be 50 meters away the right.

Works on the Garriga train station

  • Currently, the trains operate completely normally and the works are not expected to continue until the summer months. During 2024 and 2025, the R3 train line is in the doubling phase in La Garriga, which will be carried out in several phases. Check here the monitoring of these works.

By bus

Several bus lines connect Barcelona, ​​Granollers, la Garriga and Vic. In La Garriga, buses stop, among others, at the Sínia car park, 200 meters from the visitor centre.

Granollers - Mataró. If you want to go to the beach from Garriga, you need to go by train or bus to Granollers and take a bus to Mataró.

 

By bike

  • The Garriga cycle path passes through the Visitor Centre, which follows the village from north to south. This bike path joins the stretch of Llerona and les Franqueses, and continuing in a southerly direction, it is now possible to reach the beach in Sant Adrià del Besòs via signposted lanes.

 

By car

  • To get to La Garriga by car, the most common way is to access it via the C-17 road, the expressway that connects Barcelona and Vic.
  • The northern entrance to the Garriga from the C-17 leads directly to the old road N-152a. Just follow it in a southerly direction to the Visitor Center.
  • The southern entrance to the Garriga from the C-17 leads to the interior of the village via the Carretera de l'Ametlla. When we reach the first traffic light, turn left and take the old N-152a (here called Carretera Nova) for about 300 meters, until the Visitor center.
  • Town hall parking lots. A few minutes from the Visitor Center you will find the Sínia and Les Roques car parks
    RED ZONE AND BLUE PARKING ZONE. The hours for these areas are weekdays, from Monday to Friday, from 09.00 to 13.30 and from 16.30 to 20.00 and Saturdays from 09.00 to 14.00 (except in the market area). Saturday afternoon, Sundays, public holidays free.
