La Garriga has the municipal swimming pools and the Núria Albó Library as climate shelters.

In the face of the heat, it is worth remembering that throughout the summer, La Garriga has two climate shelters: on the one hand, the municipal swimming pool, which will open on June 25, and on the other, the Núria Albó Library, which operates with seasonal hours.

Thus, until September 15, the library is open in the afternoons from Monday to Friday, from 4 to 8:30 p.m. and in the mornings of Thursday and Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Shading structures

On the other hand, the Tres Tombs and Vulcà Street parks have new structures to provide shade and offer a cooler resting space. Later, one will be installed in the Ca n’Illa park.

This is one of the winning proposals of the Participatory Budgets of La Garriga.

The structures have been designed by 2nd year students of Object and Furniture Creation from the Municipal School of Art and Design. In addition, a bench will soon be added under the structures, also designed by students from EMAD.
