Friday, June 13

• At 7 p.m., Conference ‘Festive Processions in Catalonia. From the Royal Entrances to Corpus Christi and the Festa Major’ at the Mauri Foundation (c. de Cardedeu, 17) by Daniel Vilarrúbias, art historian and archivist.
• Then, inauguration of the photographic exhibition ‘Corpus Christi in La Garriga: devotion, celebration and neighborhood’.

Saturday, June 14

• At 6 p.m., Inauguration of the Corpus Christi 2025 exhibition at the Andreu Dameson i Aspa exhibition hall (pl. Can Dachs 9).
• The exhibition will show the posters of the 39th Corpus Christi Poster Contest and you can vote for the poster that will announce the Corpus Christi festival for 2026.
• The exhibition hours will be Monday to Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The exhibition will also show the creation work of the carpets made by the schools of La Garriga.

 

Sunday 15 June

• At 9.30 am, Giant Plantation of the XXXIV Giant Gathering of La Garriga (in Plaça de Can Dachs).
• At 11 am, Giant Parade Start (c. del Centre) and Dance Show (Plaça de l'Església).
• At 11.30 am, Giant Parade, route through c. Nostra Senyora de la Salut, el Passeig, c. la Mina, c. Banys, c. del Centre to Plaça de l'Església.
• At 12.30 pm, Garrifera and La Garriga Giants' Dances (in Plaça de l'Església).
• 12.45 pm Parliaments, presentation of souvenirs and final dance with all the groups

 

Corpus Thursday 19 June

• At 6.45 pm, General Ringing of Bells announcing the start of the festivities.
• At 7 p.m., Solemn Corpus Service at the Parish Church.
• At 8 p.m., Entrance to the square of the festive procession and start of the festivities in the Church square. Parliaments of the authorities followed by the Tribute Ball by the Garriga Balla organization. Then, the Garriga festive procession's lights. The first departure of the Garriga festive procession in full will kick off the Corpus Christi festivities with the display of lights of the various dances and entrées. With the participation of the ACR Front Diabòlic, the Ginesta and Clavellot bigwigs, the dwarf dance, the giant dance and the ribbon dance, accompanied by their respective music. This year, the recovery of the Garriga stick dance will be presented.
• At the end, the final explosion.

 

Friday 20 June

• At 6.30pm, Sardanses, dance of sardanas and traditional Catalan dances with the Cobla Mediterrània in the Plaça de l’Església. In case of rain it will be moved to the Casino de la Garriga (el Passeig, 99)
• From 6.30pm to 7pm there will be a workshop on traditional dances and sardanas. Members of the Ball de Gitanes and the Agrupació Sardanista will teach you how to dance them. The traditional dance will then continue. This year, the Agrupació Sardanista presents the new Corpus sardana.
• At 9.30pm, Corpus Concert with ‘Socunbohemio’ in Can Luna (ctra. Nova, 28). Price €6. Purchase tickets at teatrelagarriga.cat. Artur Viñas, known artistically as Socunbohemio, is one of the most heard voices in the Catalan indie-folk scene. 
• At 11 p.m., Night Parade “La Pellofa” from Can Luna (ctra. Nova, 28). La Pellofa, is a fun and participatory parade promoted by the Enramada, with the desire to recover and innovate popular traditions in the festive celebrations of Corpus Christi. It will take place from Can Luna, through Torrent de la Sínia, Calabria, Sant Ramon, c. Cardedeu, plaça de les Oliveres, c. Samalús, plaça Can Dachs, c. del Centre and Pg. Doctor Vich. In various sections of the route thanks to the involvement of the neighborhoods of Dalt, Sant Ramon, Sant Roc, Santa Rita and Montserrat, as well as the Fundació Mauri, the Agrupació Sardanista, the neighborhood of c. Samalús and the Parish, those who participate will be able to have a small taste of food and drink.

Saturday 21 June – CORPUS EVE

• At 11 am, Carnation collection at Can Luna. Collection of flowers for the entities, educational centres, streets and associations that participate in the making of the Corpus Christi carpets.
• At 4 pm, Enramada in Plaça de l’Església. Traditional enramada that covers the walls of the streets of the Barri de Sant Roc - El Centre with native cane.
• At 5.30 pm, Preparation of the carnations in the spaces assigned by the carpet making entities. The neighbourhood associations, schools, entities and companies that make the Sunday carpets open their doors so that people who wish can collaborate by opening and preparing the carnations for the creation of the next day’s carpets. Below we indicate the different spaces where you will find some of the carpet organizations: Ctra. Nova 28, Can Luna (geganters de la Garriga), c. Banys 50 (Banys III), c. Banys 18 (Banys II), c. Pere Ballús 5 (Escola Puigraciós), c. Cardedeu 30 (Cardedeu), ptge. Sant Ramon (Sant Ramon), ptge. Gubern (Calabria).
• At 6:30 p.m., Traditional concert of the Societat Coral l'Aliança, Cor de Clavé, this year with the Municipal School of Music (EMM). The EMM, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, with the elementary level choir will perform, among others, "La nostra cançó" (author J. Bargalló) and a fragment of "Calda, la primera gota", a cantata with a historical context of the town, promoted by the EMM (authors D. Gómez and O. Garcia) that all the schools in La Garriga know thanks to the project carried out with the support of the Ricard Vicente Foundation. The Societat Coral l'Aliança, Cor de Clavé founded in 1911 in La Garriga, will perform hymns, sardanas and habaneras. The performance will end with a joint performance of the Corpus Christi song. At 8 p.m., Garriguen children's procession in Plaça del Silenci. The children's groups and sections of the different dances and entremesos are the protagonists! Come and see the Corpus Christi Vigil parade with the children's and young people's group of devils, the giants and the children's ribbon dance. From Plaça de l’Església, along c. del Centre, c. Calàbria, c. Sant Ramon, c. Can Xic Corder, passeig dels Til·lers, plaça de les Oliveres and plaça del Silenci.
• At 9 pm, Corpus Christi popular dinner at the sports field no. 1 (c. Pere Ballús, s/n). In case of rain it will be moved to Can Luna (ctra. Nova 28). The Federation of popular dances l'Enramada offers a bar service and a popular dinner. Dinner price: €15. Advance ticket sales while stocks last at Rebost del Pou Calent and Can Perris until June 18.
• At 11 pm Corpus Christi concert with ‘Pony Pisador’ at the sports field no. 1 (c. Pere Ballús, s/n). Pony Pisador has become one of the most important popular music bands in Catalonia. Their sound is based on the tradition of Celtic and folk music, a mix between the worlds of JRR Tolkien and Monty Python and a substantial dose of contemporary folk energy. Their combination of folk sounds from all over the world results in a fun and energetic sound, unpredictable and full of personality. In their latest album “Ocells” we find a rich and imaginative musical palette with songs from traditional Catalan music, fused with new sounds and exploring themes ranging from medieval stories to humorous narratives and children's stories. In case of rain the concert of Pony Pisador and PD Tiwi will be moved to Can Luna (ctra. Nova 28)
• Following, PD Tiwi at the sports field no. 1 (c. Pere Ballús, s/n).  

 

Sunday June 22 CORPUS FESTIVAL

From early morning until noon, Carpet making and the Egg dancing in the streets and squares of the town. About thirty carpets of flowers will decorate the streets of the historic center. The steps of the church and the facade of the town hall will also be decorated with floral elements, as well as four altars: one on Carrer de la Doma (of the Asil Hospital), in the squares of Santa Isabel (Santa Rita neighborhood), confluence of Carrer de Calabria with Sant Ramon and Plaça de de les Oliveres (of the Residencia del Pilar). The entities, educational centers, neighborhoods and associations start early in the morning and stay there until noon to make the carpets of flowers. On Carrer del Centre there will be a carpet of the town hall where anyone who wants can collaborate in the production of this carpet. This year there will be a carpet from the Arbúcies Carpet Makers Association, which, as a guest carpet, will demonstrate ephemeral floral art with a carpet in the Plaça de l'Església.

• At 8 am, Matinades in the streets of the center. The Grallarriga group with the big heads Clavellot and Ginesta will make a tour of all the streets that make carpets performing the traditional Toc de Matinades and announcing the start of the day. 
• From 9 am and throughout the morning, special programming from Ràdio Silenci.
• From 11 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 8 pm, Open House and visits to places of interest in La Garriga

•  A les 12.15 h, Passejada oficial de les autoritats.
• A les 12.30 h, Ball de l’Ou com balla a la plaça de l’Església. Interpretació de la peça L’Ou com balla de Ruben Salvador a càrrec de Grallarriga.
• A les 17 h, Tradicional ballada de sardanes a la plaça de Can Dachs. Audició i ballada de Sardanes amb la Cobla Sabadell.
•  A les 17.30 h, Lliurament del premi a la persona que hagi guanyat el concurs de cartells de Corpus, per part de l’Associació Cultural Corpus la Garriga a la Sala municipal d’art i exposicions Andreu Dameson i Aspa.
• A les 18 h, Balls de Corpus a la plaça de Can Dachs. Interpretació del tradicional Ball de Cintes de la Garriga i balls a càrrec de La Garriga Balla. Lluïment dels diversos entremesos amb la participació d’en Clavellot i la Ginesta i del Ball de Nans de la Garriga. La música anirà a càrrec de Grallarriga, els grallers de la Garriga. Seguidament, Repic general de campanes i Anada a Ofici des de la plaça de Can Dachs a la plaça de l’Església amb la participació del seguici festiu de la Garriga i la Cobla Sabadell.
• A les 19 h, Ofici Solemne de Corpus a l'Església Parroquial amb cant litúrgic i el Ball de Cintes a càrrec de la Garriga Balla i Tocats del Grall. Seguidament, Solemne Processó de Corpus pels carrers encatifats, encapçalada pel seguici festiu de la Garriga integrat pel Ball de Diables, el Ball de Nans, el Ball de Gegants, el ball de Cintes i els grallers obrint pas a la comitiva religiosa. Participació de la Cobla Sabadell i els estendards dels barris de la Garriga.
• La Clavellada iniciarà per on ja hagi passat la processó, protegint la plaça de l’Església fins el fi de festa.
• Un cop la processó retorni a la plaça de l’Església, els elements festius que integren el seguici es disposaran en passadís per rebre la custòdia sota tàlem abans de la benedicció final des de les escales de l’Església. 
• En acabar, Esclat final de festes amb tots els balls i entremesos del seguici festiu i ballada de la sardana de la Garriga pel mestre Francesc Mas i Ros.

• Dijous i divendres de 10 a 14 h al Centre de Visitants a la ctra. nova, 46.
• Dissabte i diumenge de 10 a 14 h i de 16 a 19 h ens traslladem a Can Raspall (c. Banys, 38). Visita de l’espai i punt d’informació turística.
