THE CA L’OLIVERÓ WALKING ROUTE
Time: 1 hour and 30 minuts aprox.
Duration: 4 km
Difference between lowest and highest point: 100m
This is a pleasant route at the foot of the Santa Margarida hill.
From La Cova stream you begin the gentle climb to Can Poi hill. The path winds round the hill to its north side. Here, before you continue your journey, you have the option of climbing to the top of Can Poi to take in the view of La Garriga from the best possible vantage point.
The path snakes through the old vineyards, areas recently reclaimed by the the forest, passing through clearings of open vegetation until it enters the forest near Ca l’Olivero. Before we arrive at the country house, itself a fantastic rural structure, we see a sign off to the Ca ‘Olivero kiln, a remnant of the pre-industrial trades that have long disappeared. Once we’ve passed the house and arrived at the Sant Cristòfol path, our trail descends to Blancafort del Molí, the district of Querol and the Parc dels Pinetons before returning to our starting point.
